Our school celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm through a special assembly that combined learning, creativity, and patriotism. Students from Grades 4 to 8 presented a thoughtful and engaging role play that brought the Constitution of India to life in a way that was both fun and meaningful.

The highlight of the assembly was the introduction of “Constitution Uncle”, a warm and wise character who symbolised the biography and spirit of the Indian Constitution. With his iconic blue book in hand, he guided the audience through important constitutional values and helped connect complex ideas to everyday life.

The presentation was divided into four well-structured acts, each focusing on a key feature of the Constitution.

Act 1 introduced the Territories of India, beautifully portraying how diverse states and regions together form one united nation.

Act 2 focused on Citizenship, where students enacted people from different countries to explain India’s unique approach to citizenship in a simple and humorous manner.

Act 3 highlighted Fundamental Rights through a classroom discussion, demonstrating the Right to Freedom of Speech in a respectful and democratic setting. This act seamlessly transitioned into a vibrant dance performance on the Right to Education, showing how education helps eliminate social issues such as child marriage, inequality, ignorance, and injustice.

Act 4 centred on Fundamental Duties, was both impactful and relatable. Constitution Uncle himself picked up litter on stage, reminding students of their duty to keep the environment clean and to respect national symbols like the Indian Flag.

The entire presentation was thoughtfully performed in a lively blend of Marathi, Hindi, and English, making the acts more relatable, inclusive, and engaging for the audience.

The assembly concluded with a collective reading of the Preamble, filling the hall with pride and reinforcing the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity

As Dr. B. R. Ambedkar rightly said,
The Constitution is not a mere lawyer’s document; it is a vehicle of life, and its spirit is always the spirit of the age.

This celebration truly reminded everyone that the Constitution is not just a book, it is a guiding light that shapes responsible, aware, and proud citizens of India.
